Ok, I’ve talked about meal prep and I’ve talked about macros. But what in the world am I cooking up that tastes good on repeat and fits my numbers?
SO MUCH YUMMY STUFF!
I’ve created a list here of some of my top macro friendly recipes and I can guarantee you, these don’t taste like a diet in a bowl. This food is delish and exactly what I eat whether or not I’m counting.
#1 The BEST Crockpot or Instapot shredded Chicken: You can find the recipe down the page under the filling but this chicken can be used for anything and everything! We use it for enchiladas (with a little cream cheese mixed in), of course, but also for quesadillas, the buffalo chicken dip below over rice for a tex mex bowl. For, well, everything
#2 Buffalo Chicken Dip: If you’ve got some protein to eat, this is the ticket. No need to prep a different protein, you can use the stuff from Lillie! Super simple mix of less than 5 ingredients and an oven safe bowl and you are good to go! It is PERFECT for a lazy afternoon snack or made in bulk as a healthy option to bring a a party or potluck.
#3 Turkey Cauliflower Meatballs: This is another recipe in the rotation at our house. It takes a bit more time, but IMO it is totally worth it. These meatballs are delicious by themselves as a poppable snack but also delicious in a pasta, sub or tossed in buffalo sauce!
#4 Egg White Pizza: Sounds funky, I know. But it’s good and for those of you that love Pizza as much as I do, this recipe is golden! If you’re not big on eggs, this might not be your favorite but the egg taste is pretty subtle thanks to cheese, garlic and whatever toppings you choose to add!

#5 Mug Cakes! This one came from a bunch of different places and I mix it up every once in a while, but it is a high protein cake you guys and it takes about 3 minutes to whip up. You can find the recipe here!
So if you were tired of grilled chicken and rice or thought that was the only option, I hope I’ve shown you how that just doesn’t have to be the case! There are pros out there working hard in their kitchen to find easy, delicious meals for us macro counters and I’m happy to keep my eyes out for all of us.
Look out for another recipe round up in the next couple months as I’ll be trying some new ones!
